Buildmax loss per share 0.16c v 14.31c

Buildmax reported on Thursday that operating profit for the year ended February 29 had improved from a loss of R43.3 million to a profit of R102.5 million.

It hence improved its loss per share from 14.31 cents to a loss per share of 0.16 cents.

Headline earnings of R10.0 million compared to a headline loss of R112.0 million at February 2011.

It spent R415.9 million on capital expenditure to expand and maintain operations which was funded by cash and asset based finance facilities.
