Access to uShukela is already good via the N2, M41 and R102, and will soon be even better. A new four lane arterial from the R102 into Cornubia is due for completion in April 2016. Richards Bay is 90 minutes away on the N2 freeway and Durban’s CBD and harbour are just thirty minutes’ drive. Cornubia will include 25 000 homes, of which 15 000 will be subsidised, and a major new bus route has been planned, so proximity to skilled and semi-skilled labour is excellent. uShukela is taking shape on a highly visible site facing one of the main boulevards.

Entry is from a controlled side road with a wide turning circle so even the largest vehicles can enter and leave with ease. The region is a future platform for oil, gas and renewable energy industries for local and export production. With both Richards Bay and the Dube TradePort already established as Industrial Development Zones, the entire province is poised for explosive growth. The DTI has earmarked Dube TradePort, along with the Tshiame IDZ in Harrismith, as the first to be transformed into special economic zones as soon as the regulatory framework has been established. This is expected to bring further attractive differentiated incentives for doing business in KZN.

The project will be constructed in three blocks of varying sizes which, in turn, are divided into individual units. This provides a range of warehouses in various sizes, all of which have generous driveways, plenty of parking and highly articulated street facades allowing for easy identity.
